“I don’t know what PFAS is and at this point, I’m too afraid to ask.”

If this statement resonates with you, consider attending this presentation which will focus on bringing you up to speed on the PFAS basics. Topics covered will include the history, use, and naming conventions of PFAS, basic physicochemical properties of PFAS that impact their fate and transport, in addition to introductions to prominent treatment technologies and approaches. Attendees can expect to walk away with a fundamental understanding of PFAS, how PFAS behave in the environment, and what practitioners are doing to break the “PFAS cycle.”

Come hear Andrew Safulko answer your questions about PFAS. Andrew is a Senior Environmental Engineer at Brown and Caldwell in Denver, Colorado. Andrew received a BS degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a MS degree in Environmental Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Andrew supports private and municipal clients in developing tailored PFAS solutions, including site characterization, source identification investigations, treatment, and forensic evaluations. In addition to being an RMAEP Past President, Andrew co-leads the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Councils (ITRC) PFAS Treatment subgroup. You can reach Andrew at [email protected].
